How Do You Make A Soup Sachet?

0

It’s easy to make a sachet that will infuse flavors in stocks and soups. Gather all the materials you will need to make a stock/soup sachet. Fold the thyme in half and place it and the parsley stems, peppercorns and bay leaves in the middle of the square of cheesecloth. Fold two opposing corners of the cheesecloth up to meet each other, forming a triangle. Gather cheesecloth ends together and form into a ball. Tie with an 18-inch length of butcher’s twine. Tie long ends of twine to stockpot handle and drop sachet into pot. Tying the twine to the handle makes it easy to fish out the sachet when you are ready to strain the stock.
