How Do You Make A Soda Bottle Candy Dish?
A 2-liter soda bottle is practically a ready-made candy dish. Simply cut off the bottom and fill it with any sweets you want. What most people don’t realize is that you can make a second, more interesting container out of the top of the bottle. Wash out the soda bottle. Cut off the bottom with a craft knife and fill it with candy. This is the easiest way to make a soda bottle candy dish. Make a line where the label begins on the bottle. You can use a sharpie or a ballpoint pen. Sketch out the legs of the second candy dish. Draw four rectangular legs evenly spaced around the bottle. Each should be about the same width and as long as the remaining section of the soda bottle. Cut along the strips so that you have four long, rectangular legs coming off the top of the soda bottle. Bend the legs down and invert the bottle top. You now have a candy dish supported on small, plastic legs.
