Snow globes are a miniature world of gently falling snow on a picturesque scene. You can make your own snow globe with a house inside it easily as a holiday craft or to give as a gift. The snow is made from egg shells, which are light enough to float in the water but sturdy enough not to break down over time. Peel the label off your jar and soak in warm water for 20 minutes to loosen any left over glue. Scrub the glue off and dry the jar completely. Glue the house figurine to the inside of the jar lid with aquarium glue. Make sure the lid is completely dry before gluing. Soak the egg shells in hot water and drain them through cheesecloth. Crush them so they are about the same size as pieces of glitter and place them in the jar. Fill the jar with water. Dry the rim of the jar then place a thin bead of aquarium glue on the threads of the jar lid. Screw it on tightly.
