Skateboarding is a type of extreme sport where people ride their boards up different-sized skate ramps, performing tricks as the ramp propels them airborne. The launch ramp, or kicker ramp as it is more commonly referred, is the easiest skate ramp to perform tricks on, as well as the easiest ramp for people to build themselves. Anyone who can safely use a mitter saw and a hammer can quickly and skillfully construct their own skate ramp. Step 1 Cut three of the 2-by-10 inch boards so that they are all 2 feet long. Cut a 45-degree angle down their entire 2-foot length, beginning at the top-left corner and cutting down to the bottom-right corner. Step 2 Cut the final 2-by-10 inch board so that it has a length of 2 1/2 feet. Do not cut any angles into this board, as this will act as the ramps back support.
