Slide bead bracelets are fashionable. The charms are special because instead of dangling, they slide flush onto a wide band. While commercial bracelets are available, it is simple to make your own original design. Look for interesting beads to use on your bracelets and let some of your personality shine through. Cut the ribbon to the desired length of the bracelet, between 8 and 11 inches. You may want to measure your wrist before deciding on length. Place one end of the ribbon between the two jaws of one of the crimp ends and press closed. Set aside. Thread beads onto the safety pins. Leave enough room to fasten the safety pins. Brass safety pins are available and are attractive on bracelets. As you finish filling a safety pin, close it and slide it onto the ribbon, bead side out.
