My son makes these skateboard ramps all the time. He even makes them for the neighborhood kids so I guess he does a good job. Here is what he told me about how to make a homemade skateboard ramp. (you can also use this for bmx bikes too) Step 1 Gather all your materials. My son collects odds and ends that he finds or that neighbors throw away. He took a wood pallet apart once and used pieces from that. Step 2 Decide how high you want your skateboard ramp to be. Then cut out wood for your frame. Use pressure treated wood if you will be leaving it outside so it does not rot. Step 3 Use pressure treated screws to put it together. Step 4 have the store cut your plywood to size if it will be smaller than the piece you bought. Leave this to the professional.
