Making paper snow flakes has entertained school children for years. These easy to create snowflakes are a big hit for the holidays and can be used to decorate windows and doors. They are even pretty enough to adorn the tree. Add a new twist to an old activity this year by spraying hand cut paper snowflakes with fake snow and glitter for sparkle and shine. Begin with a square sheet of paper. You can easily create a square from an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper. Lay paper down on the table. Grasp the right hand edge of the paper and fold it upwards so the right edge matches up with the top edge of the paper. Trim the left edge so that both sections match up. Unfold the triangle. Place the paper in front of you and fold the top edge to the bottom edge. Keep the folded edge at the top. You will now have a rectangle.
