Eliminate gift bows by attaching them to packages and your friends and family will enjoy using them in their homes, too. They are very easy to make and require very little ribbon. Once you get the hang of making silk ribbon Christmas roses, you can enjoy making them while sitting and enjoying a movie or chatting with friends. Measure and cut a length of the 2 1/2 inch wide red wired silk ribbon 30 inches long for the Christmas rose. Fold the ribbon in half lengthwise matching the long wired edges. Tie one end of the ribbon in an overhand knot. Pull the wire from the opposite end on both sides of the ribbon. Twist the wire ends together to hold.
