The Ruger Mini14 rifle is a powerful yet compact weapon. You can make a silencer, or gun suppressor as it is more correctly called, that will muffle the sound of the rifle when it fires to help protect your hearing during the course of a lengthy shooting session. You will need a few supplies from a hardware store and some tools commonly found around the home. No special tools or skills are needed to make the silencer for the Ruger Mini 14. Drill a hole through the center of one end of one of the foam blocks. Stop drilling when the drill bit exits the other side. Repeat this procedure with the other foam block. Stand the metal tube on a work surface. Sand the rim at the top end of the metal tube with the rough sandpaper. Blow off the top end of the tube with compressed air.
