How Do You Make A Shift Pirate Costume?

0

Making a pirate costume is inexpensive and easy. Buy clothes for most of the costume and touch them up to make them look like a pirate outfit. Add some accessories and you’re all set to go. Take the black pants and cut off the legs just below the knees. Cut to make the edges look ragged. Cut two 4-by-20 inch strips from the white fabric with the pinking shears. Thread the needle. Make gathering stitches along one side of each strip. Pull the gathers until the strip is the same length as the shirt from just under the collar to the front tail. Pin a strip on either side of the buttons of the shirt. Sew in place. Put a small tear in each sleeve just below the elbow. Rip to make the sleeves shorter and the edges ragged. Add a bandanna for your head covering, an eye patch, and a colorful scarf to tie around your waist.
