Amtgard players meet up in parks to play the game. Players need to come prepared with their armor, sword and shield. Boffers or padded armor and weapons are used in order to avoid injury to the players. In this article you will learn how to make a shield for the Amtgard RPG. 1. Gather the following materials in order to make an Amtgard shield. • A Snow Disc or a Sled which will be the core of your Amtgard shield • Open-Cell Foam about 1 inch in thickness and should be as large as your Snow Disc or Sled • 10 ft Pipe Insulators that should be at least 1 inch in thickness to be used as outer covering for your Amtgard shield. Pool Noodles can be used as an alternative. • Camp Pad for extra cushions and protection • 4 pieces of ¼ inch bolts • 4 pieces of Locking Nuts for the bolts • 8 pieces of Fender Washers • 2 pieces of 2-inch wide
