Do you have an older model sewing machine? You know the type. They are in a cabinet. Ever watch that table on the left start laying lower and lower over the years? Here is how to fix that problem. Measure the table on your sewing machine. Most are 26″ high. Go to the hardware and purchase a 4″ or 5″ round piece of PVC pipe. Have the salesman cut it down to size. Buy a PVC flange and the rubber PVC cap. Put the cap on the pipe and push the pipe into flange. Make sure it is in good and tight. Cut felt to fit the bottom of the flange. Spray with glue and atach to flange. Once it is dry, it is ready to use. Just open the table of your sewing machine and lay it on the cap. Your table will no longer fall when sewing heavy fabrics and will save your hinges.
