• Find a spot in your carpet. Don’t use a particularly expensive carpet for this project, as you will be cutting it. • Trace a square on to the surface. The measurement should be about five by five inches. Do this with a black pencil, for easy erasing. This is better to do on the underside of the carpet, so the square will be more visible. • Take a cutting knife. The best knife to use for this is a craft cutting knife. Cut out the square you traced. Do not dispose of the square. • Duct tape the bottom of the carpet. Put duct tape right where you cut out the square. Flip the carpet over, and put a paper square on top of the duct tape you just put there. This is so then your valuables do not stick to the duct tape. • Put your valuables into the square.
