How Do You Make A Seashell Paperweight?
If you love all things pertaining to the beach or know someone who does, why not try your hand at making a seashell paperweight. This is such an easy and fast project, requiring minimal supplies. Maybe you already have the shells lying around. The paperweight dome can be found at the local craft store. Glue, cardboard and felt are all that is left to get you started. Purchase a glass paperweight dome at the local craft store. If you’d rather, substitute a decorative jar, an old salt shaker, or a glass candy jar lid that is missing its base. Clean and wipe the inside free of any fingerprints. Place the glass piece down on card stock. Trace around it and cut out the resulting circle. Glue the card stock onto a piece of felt and trim off the excess material. Turn the glass piece upside down and fill with shells. Do not use fragile items like sand dollars as they tend to break after the project is finished. Run a thin bead of craft glue around the edge of the card stock side of the base. A
