How Do You Make A Sea Creature Mobile?
Make a sea creature mobile for a sea theme at home or in the classroom. This is a cheap and cheerful way to keep amused and indulge in an afternoon of traditional cutting and pasting fun. • Turn a bowl upside down. This will be your sea creature’s body. • Cut a piece of elastic cord about 20 cm long. • Pierce a hole for the cord in the centre of the bottom of the bowl with some scissors. Ask an adult for help if you find this difficult by yourself. • Thread the cord through the hole and tie a knot in the bottom so that it won’t fit back through the hole. Tie a loop at the other end so that you can hang up your mobile when it is finished. • Cut one long, wavy strip of material. Make sure it is long enough to go around the outside of the bowl and cut a little extra to spare. • Add PVA glue to the inside of the bowl. • Stick the fabric onto the glue so that it hangs down off the edge of the bowl and looks a bit like a jellyfish.
