How Do You Make A Round Head Rag Doll?

0

Rag dolls are one of the oldest forms of doll. Rag dolls were traditionally made from scraps of cloth that were too small to be used for sewing projects. Making a rag doll with a round head is one of the easiest patterns to use in making a rag doll. This project can be completed in just a few hours, and children can even help with some parts of the design. Draw the pattern in the shape that you want the doll on a piece of paper. Basically create a paper doll shape with a circle for a head. Make sure the arms and legs are at least 2 inches thick. After drawing the outline, add an additional outline ½ of an inch outside of the original drawing. This will be the seam allowance. Cut the paper doll out. Place two pieces of fabric with the right sides facing each other. Pin the doll pattern over two pieces of fabric. Use the scissors to cut out the doll shape from the fabric. Cut as evenly as possible. Remove the pins and the pattern from the fabric. Re-pin the two pieces of the doll pattern
