Here is an experiment that will show you the amazing power of using leverage. Tie one end of rope to large object you want to move. Stretch rope out and tie a figure-8 knot in the middle of the rope leaving about a 4-foot loop in the rope. To make a figure-8 knot, grab a length of the rope and double it, leaving about a 4 foot loop at the end. Curl the rope you have in your hand under the section of rope that is tied off and loop the end of the 4 foot length between the tied off section and the rope you have in your hand.
