Whether you’re camping in the woods or desiring to make a fire in your backyard, fire safety should always be number one. When conditions are dry, a fire can get out of hand quickly, a rock fire pit is a good way to decrease your chances of an accident happening. Putting together a rock fire pit isn’t that hard. Step 1 Rake away any debris that is in the area where the fire pit is to be made. You should have about an area six feet in diameter cleared of any leaves or branches. This will help cut down on a fire starting outside of the pit once you get one started. Step 2 Gather up the rocks you plan on using. You should try to use medium to larger size rocks to make your fire pit, as they are more stable when stacked up upon each other. The type of rocks don’t matter, as long as they are solid and don’t crumble easily. Step 3 Figure out how big of an area you want to use for the fire itself. Start placing the rocks around the outside of this area in a circle. Place the larger rocks on t
