Place the two ribbons one on top of the other one, wrong sides together so the smooth side shows. 4mm ribbon is a good common size, but you may want to use larger ribbon embroidery ribbon for large projects. Begin twisting the ribbons. Hold the ribbons in both hands as far apart as they will go, and twist the ends with your hands. Twist the entire ribbon. Twist until all of the ribbon has a twist, and there is very little space left between the twists. Move hands only.
