How Do You Make A Ribbon Embroidery Spiderweb Rose?
Ribbon embroidery is a beautiful needlework, and it can be worked on many different kinds of fabric, so it has advantages over some of the other embroidery crafts. It also shows up better than some of the finer thread needlework projects. The roses are unique and rarely seen in thread embroidery. The spiderweb rose is one of the prettiest flower designs we make. Thread the needle with 4mm ribbon in the color of your choice. We use about 15 inches of ribbon and make the recommended eye tie. This is done by threading the needle, pulling the ribbon through an inch or so and punching the needle through the ribbon about 1/4 inch from the end. Pull the ribbon back to form a tight tie. Make five spokes coming out from the center point where you want the ribbon rose to be. This is the beginning of the spider web.
