Then sit it on the ground so that the bottom of the box is facing upward. Place your compass in the exact center of the box and draw a 12-inch circle. Use the X-acto knife to cut out the circle, being careful not to create any jagged edges. Ask your child to step into the hole you created to see if the box fits around his waist.
