Start by measuring your chest and shoulders You will need to cut cloth to be double your height, and about 6-7. Fold the cloth in half, then fold lengthwise again. It’s now about shoulder height and has four folds in all. (If you’re doing a black robe lined with blue, cut both fabrics and follow the steps for both pieces.) Take the cloth and make a hole for the neck by cutting out a quarter-circle in the corner where both folds meet. Make the first pin to the left edge of the cloth about 13″ from the edge (opposite of where you cut the quarter circle) and then a 2nd pin again 12″ from the top edge. Now…using your chest measurements, add 10″ to that and divide by four. So for me, my chest is 38″…it would be 12″. Put 3rd pin this distance to left of the 2nd pin.
