Quilting becomes a passionate craft and art for many people. However, creating and sewing a full sized quilt can take some time and energy. Smaller projects, such as a quilted credit card holder can be produced more quickly. After you’ve made the first one for yourself, make several and give them as gifts for birthdays, Christmas or special occasions. These credit card holders can also be used to store different paper money denominations in the card pockets. Decide what fabrics to use. Most quilters have a large amount of scrap fabrics and quilt batting from other projects. Choose an outside decorator fabric and a plain or coordinating inside fabric, a piece of muslin, sewing thread to match, quilting thread and a piece of batting. Cut three rectangles from the decorator fabric, muslin and inside fabric. They should be 4-inches wide and 8-inches long. Cut a piece of quilt batting the same size.
