This is a rich delicious cake filled with all the extras you want during the holiday season. Wrapped tightly the cake keeps well. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter a tube pan. In a large bowl cream together the granulated sugar and the butter. Beat in the eggs one at a time. In a separate bowl, blend together the flour, the baking powder, the baking soda, and the salt. Add this mixture alternately with the sour cream, to the butter mixture. Blend in the grated lemon rind and the lemon juice. Stir in the nuts and the raisins. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle top with chopped nuts. Place in pre heated oven and bake for approximately 50 to 60 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on rack. Remove from pan and place on serving plate. EITHER brush lightly with melted butter and sprinkle with sifted icing sugar OR drizzle with a thin icing sugar drizzle. To make an icing sugar drizzle, gradually add milk to 1/2 cup of sifted icing sugar until it is thin enough
