How Do You Make A Quick And Easy Meatball Sub?
A savory meatball sub is no longer only a treat to enjoy at a sub shop. With this quick and easy recipe, you can make enough restaurant-quality meatball subs to feed just yourself or the entire neighborhood in just minutes. So simple, yet so delicious. Your guests will ask for the name of your caterer. Yes, they are that good! Dump your favorite meatballs and spaghetti sauce into a pot. I used 30 of Chef Bruce Aidell’s Chicken-Teriyaki & Pineapple Meatballs (found at Costco) and a mixture of Classico Spaghetti Sauce and Wild Harvest Organic Mushroom Pasta Sauce. Bring the Mixture to a boil on the stove. Turn the heat down, and let it simmer for 20-30 minutes. Spoon 3-5 meatballs and some sauce into a warm sub bun. I used hot dog buns leftover from our weekend weenie roast. Only 3 meatballs fit in each bun, so most of us had two sandwiches. Top with grated cheese, lettuce and any other of your favorite veggies or dressings. Enjoy! Keep plenty of napkins or paper towels handy.
