How Do You Make A PVC Pipe Crossbow?

1

A crossbow is a great way to practice hitting a target, and also fun to use. Instead of buying an expensive bow, you can learn to make your own out of PVC pipe. The PVC pipe bow is much less costly. You can make it in less than an hour, and improve your aim just as quickly. Take a 4 foot piece of 1/2 inch PVC pipe and cut a 1/2 inch horizontal slit across the center of each end. Make sure to get both sides of the pipe. Cut a piece of elastic string 1 foot smaller than the length of the PVC pipe; in this case the string will be 3 feet long. Slide the string through the slit in one end of the pipe and duct tape it tightly, so it will not slide. Pull the string to the other end of the pipe and make sure it is stretched as tightly as possible. It should resist being pulled; that way you have enough resistance to shoot your arrows. Slide the string into the other end and tape it. Stretch the elastic string to make sure it doesn’t slip out or become loose. If it does, tighten it and use more
