How Do You Make A PVC Lamp Post?
Whether making a lightweight camping accessory or a quick piece of patio furniture, a PVC lamp post is a fun weekend project for the do-it-yourselfer. It’s both inexpensive and safer in the presence of children and pets than a plug-in lantern. Attach the reducer to the toilet flange, which will serve as the base of your lamp post. The parts should slide into place. For a more secure hold, bond them using silicone caulk or epoxy putty. Attach the 2-inch PVC pipe to the reducer. The pipe should slide into the reducer; secure the two pieces with epoxy or caulk. Then set the post upright. At the top of the post, attach the solar garden landscaping light by sliding the light’s landscaping stake down into the pipe. Use sandpaper to rough up the plastic surface of the post in preparation for painting. Paint the PVC pipe to make it look like a metal lamp post.
