How Do You Make A Pumpkin Wall Hanging?
This quick and easy pumpkin wall hanging can be completed in an afternoon. The whimsical jack-o-lantern design adds a light-hearted touch to any holiday gathering and is sure to please the child within with its broad smile and triangular eyes. Choose orange fabric for the pumpkin. Select a solid orange fabric for a traditional look or choose a fine print that is predominately orange to create a more festive pumpkin. Pick a background color that will contrast with the colors of the pumpkin; black is a good choice. Cut two 12 1/2-inch square pieces of the background material. Print out the pumpkin pattern (see Resources). Enlarge or reduce the image to get the desired size for your wall hanging. Cut out the pattern and trace onto lightweight cardboard to make a more durable template. Prepare the fabric for cutting by selecting a square of fabric slightly larger than the template.
