Although Sony has made no keyboard accessory available, it is possible to adapt an infrared portable keyboard to work with the PSP. Doing this requires a modified PSP and is not for the casual user, but it is the only way to have a keyboard to use with the PSP. Turn on the PSP. Navigate to the USB mode from the Home menu. Insert a formatted Memory Stick Pro in the memory slot of the PSP. Connect the USB PSP connection cable to the PSP. Connect the other end of the USB PSP connection cable to a USB port on the Windows-based computer. Run the web browser on the computer. Download the “Dark-Alex Custom Firmware” from its website to the desktop of the computer (see link in Resources). Click on the downloaded “CHAP1” file to decompress it to a file called “PSP” on the desktop. Drag the PSP file from the desktop into the root folder of the Memory Stick P
