How Do You Make A Prickly Pear Martini?

0

You may have heard of the Prickly Pear Margarita. Well, here’s an excellent Martini [pêra-tini™] cocktail made from the prickly pear cactus fruit. This drink mixer is great for adding color and flavor to martini & margarita cocktails, saké, non-alcoholic or hard lemonade and much more. The redish-purple prickly pear fruit is high in antioxidants, Vitamin C and is said to reduce many hang-over symptoms. In a cocktail shaker with ice, add: 3/4oz Grey Goose® La Poire Vodka, 3/4oz Limoncello liqueur, 1/2oz Pêra™ Prickly Pear Syrup, 1/2oz Dry vermouth & 1/2oz 7-Up®. Shake vigorously & strain into sugar rimmed martini glass. Note: If you don’t have a glass rimming kit, simply slide a lemon wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip into a plate filled with white or colored sugar. Finally, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Typically, a quarter or half lemon will be sufficient. Enjoy your pêra-tini™!
