How Do You Make A Potpourri Drawer Sachet?

0

Potpourri can be made at home using fresh or dried petals and leaves from flowers. You can use whatever you can find in nature or make a specific recipe. Potpourri traditionally is left out in the open in a bowl to scent a room, but you can bundle it in a breathable piece of fabric to make a sachet and insert that scent wherever you wish. Line a paper lunch bag with wax paper. Measure 3/4 cup rose petals, 1/8 cup dried chamomile flowers, 1/8 cup eucalyptus leaves, 1/8 cup oak moss and pour into the paper bag. Use a dropper to put 10 drops of rose oil into the bag. Shake to mix the ingredients and secure the bag with a clip. Set bag aside in a cool, dark place for two weeks. Shake the ingredients in the bag every other day to mix well. Place the linen handkerchief flat and open on a table. Take a handful of the potpourri and place it in the middle of the handkerchief. Gather the sides of the handkerchief together and secure it closed with a ribbon to form a sachet.
