Potato gun technology has been around for many years, but it was with the invention of PVC plumbing that potato gun makers could really let their imaginations run wild. A potato gun works under the same principles as a regular gun: A chamber at the rear holds the propellant. In the chamber in front of the propellant sits the projectile. A flame source ignites the propellant, which explodes under pressure, launching the projectile out of the barrel of the gun. Cut the 4 inch PVC pipe down to 2 feet in length. Cut the 2 inch PVC pipe to 4 feet in length. Sand down the edges so no burrs remain. Use the PVC glue (follow manufacturer’s instructions) to attach the 4 inch clean-out adapter to one end of the 4 inch PVC pipe.
