They can be customized depending on the fabric you choose and make great gifts. Consider solid polar fleece that coordinates with your room, or print polar fleece depicting something you love or with a holiday theme. Measure and cut out two identical pieces of polar fleece fabric that are 20 inches by 20 inches. This will make a 14-inch by 14-inch pillow. Lay the pieces of polar fleece directly on top of each other. Line up the edges perfectly. Take your ruler and place it along the bottom edge or corner of the fabric. Measure a 3-inch by 3-inch square from the corner and cut it out. Repeat on all four corners so you are left with four missing corners. Measure out 1 1/2-inch segments and cut them up about 3 inches inward on the fabric. Repeat all the way around the square so you have several 1 1/2-inch sections of fringe-like fabric edges.
