How Do You Make A Plastic Lace Keychain?
Plastic lace key chains are popular craft items for kids to make. Some kids call these Gimps or Boondoggles. Twisting the plastic lace into something to use is a great activity while kids are sitting and watching television. Use the plastic lace key chain for more than just keys. Attach them to coat and backpack zippers for a handy pull or to flashlights to give them an extra handle. Cut one piece of each color of plastic lace to the same length. Make sure to cut them much longer than you want the finished product. Put one piece on top of the other and cross them at the centers making right angles. Label them in your mind starting with the strand on the bottom as strands one through four by going around in a circle. Fold strand two over strand four at the center point. Fold strand four over the top of strands one and two. Fold strand one over strands three and four. Fold strand three over strand one, but under strand two.
