This pincushion ring is made using a recycled water bottle cap and can be completed in less than an hour. Step 1 Draw a 3 1/2-inch circle, using the compass, on lightweight cardboard and cut out. This is the pattern for the pincushion part of the pincushion ring. Place the pattern on a scrap of fabric and draw around it using the marking pen. Cut out the fabric circle. Step 2 Thread the sewing needle, using a double thickness of thread for strength.
