Tear the newsprint paper into strips approximately 1-by-3 inches. Blow up the balloon to the desired beehive size. Find a bowl that will be just big enough to hold the balloon securely so it won’t move while you’re working on it. Smear the inside of the bowl and the balloon completely with petroleum jelly. Make a thin glue solution by mixing white craft glue with water. Use approximately 2 parts water to 1 part glue. Put a few paper strips in the water and glue mixture and let them soak for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove them one strip at a time, and pull them between your first and second fingers to squeeze off excess glue. Lay the strips on the balloon, covering the entire balloon one layer thick,
