How Do You Make A Pillow Sachet?
These little fabric pouches are meant to be tucked into a pillowcase. Use potpourri blends containing lavender, roses or other light relaxing scents. Use muslin, cotton gauze or another breathable fabric for your sachet. You will need two 4 1/2-inch pieces of fabric for each sachet. Wash and dry the fabric before sewing your sachet. Avoid fabric softeners, dryer sheets or any other products that may add an artificial scent to the fabric. Choose a potpourri blend. You will need enough potpourri to loosely fill the sachet. Use a ruler and a fabric marking pen to measure out two 4 1/2-inch squares. Cut out the squares along the marked lines and pin the pieces with right sides together. Make sure that the fabric edges match up evenly. Place the pins at 1/2-inch intervals and at right angles to the fabric edges. Use a sewing machine to stitch the fabric pieces together, 1/2 inch from the raw edges. When you reach a corner, lift the presser foot of your sewing machine and swivel the fabric s
