Follow the steps below to make a pie chart of your data using the Excel program in Microsoft Office. Pie charts are used with percentage data. First, type your data into an excel spreadsheet as shown. List the title first, and then the percentage, all in the same row. Use as many rows as you need for your categories. Next, drag your cursor along the data you have just entered so the area is highlighted. Click “Insert”, then “Chart”. You will see different types of charts displayed.
