You can make a picture hologram at home and attach it to the front of a card using various adhesives. The best hologram process to use at home is a white light, reflective hologram. An almost entirely dark room is required to create a hologram. The object to photograph must be solid and not soft. It is best to use an object that does not have any type of hair, fur or fuzz. Very detailed objects will be more difficult to make a crisp and sharp hologram. Secure two C batteries together with electrical tape. Tape a 12-inch wire to the positive end of the battery. Attach the opposite end of the wire to a gator clip. Tape into place. Attach a 12-inch wire to the back of the Class IIIa diode laser with electrical tape. Secure the opposite end of the wire to a gator clip. Tape into place. Pour salt, sugar or sand in a foam cup until it is three-quarters full.
