Cut a 7 by 11 inch piece of felt material. This will be used to cover the front and back of your baby book. Cut two 3 by 7 inch rectangles. These pieces will be used for the front and back inside flaps. Adjust the width of the flaps to fit your book. Draw a design of your choice to decorate the cover of your book. Most baby items are usually decorated with stars or moons. Cut out the shape that you have drawn. Place the flaps under the right and left hand edges of the cover of the book. Starting with one side and one flap at a time, use a blanket stitch and stitch the outer edge of the flap to the outer edge of the flap to the outer edge of the book’s cover. Repeat these same steps to attach the other flap to the opposite side. Slip your book or album into the flaps.
