Pens come in all sizes, designs and purposes. If you take care of your pen, no matter which one you use, and follow this advice, your pen can last much longer. • Don’t press too hard on paper or else more ink will get used up faster. Try writing more smoothly or a little lighter and see the difference yourself. • Always recap it. If it is retractable, click it back in. If you don’t recap, the ink will eventually dry out and you will no longer be able to use it. Draw with pencils instead of pens. Ink runs out really quickly if you waste it on too much drawing or sketching or making the same giant circle over and over again.
