A cool pear martini can be the perfect refreshment on a hot summer day. They are very easy to create at home – only three main ingredients – so they work well as a fun drink to serve at parties. Due to their somewhat fruity flavor and slight sweetness, pear martinis are especially good with barbecue. ASSEMBLE YOUR INGREDIENTS The basic pear martini uses pear-flavored vodka, grapefruit juice, and lime. Before mixing, chill the vodka in a freezer for about two hours. It won’t freeze, but will become deliciously icy. Wash the lime thoroughly, scrubbing gently to remove any dirt from the skin.
