How Do You Make A Peanut Butter Roll?
This delicious roll made sugary goodness has a peanut butter filling. Gather and prepare the ingredients for the peanut butter treat: * 1 cup of light corn syrup * 4 cups of sugar * 1 cup of water * 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten * Powdered sugar * Peanut butter Combine the corn syrup, sugar and water in a heavy bottom saucepan. Cook until it reaches the the hard-ball stage, which is 260 degrees Fahrenheit on a candy thermometer. Beat the egg whites in a mixing bowl, until they become stiff. Continue beating, while pouring the sugar mixture very slowing over the egg whites. Beat the mixture until it becomes thick and dough like. Stir until the dough is cool and can be handled. Roll out on a piece of wax paper dusted with powdered sugar. Roll out into a rectangle shape about 1/8 inch thick. Spread the peanut butter on the top side of the rectangle dough. Roll up like a jelly roll, except this will be a peanut butter roll. Slice and serve with milk.
