How Do You Make A Paper Treasure Chest?
A fun project to make with your children is a paper treasure chest. The paper treasure chest will work as a prop for a school play or can be used by young buccaneers when playing pirates. It all begins with a large paper grocery sack. Open a large paper sack and stand it up. Cut off the top half of the sack near the natural fold line. Cut four pieces of cardboard, two the same size as the front and back of the sack, and two the same size as the bottom of the sack. Glue one of the bottom pieces to the bottom of the sack, and glue the second piece inside the sack, on the bottom. Glue the other two pieces to the front and back of the sack. Allow to dry. Cut two pieces of cardboard in a rectangular shape, a few inches longer than the dimensions as the side of the sack. Cut the top into a curved shape, that extends above the bag. Glue the two pieces to the sides of the sack. Allow to dry. Cover all of the seams with masking tape. Cut a piece of sack paper for the lid. This should be large e
