Have you ever experienced a rainy day, when your kids are needing something to do? This can also be a great school project. From my simple instructions, you will be able to create a paper Indian chief’s hat which the kids will love! First take your 18″x12″ construction paper and fold it in half. Then cut it on the crease and tape or glue the two long strips together. Ask your child to stand still and measure the piece around his head so that you know where the excess will be and mark it. Now cut off the excess. Next, have your child draw on the piece before you tape or glue it into a circle. This will be fun for your child! Now you will be making the feathers for the hat. Take the 12″x9″ construction paper and fold it in half. Then fold it in half again so you have four creases. Fold it back on the creases and let it fold back up into a layered rectangle.
