With these easy steps you can make your own candy jar that others will look at with keen interest. • Take a medium clay pot and turn it upside down. • Paint the pot with an acrylic paint of your choice. Paint the inside of the pot as well as the outside. It might take a few coats to cover the pot completely. • Put the pot in a safe place where the paint can dry on the pot. It might take a day or two for the paint to dry entirely. • Take the painted clay pot and hot glue your fish or ivy bowl to the flat surface of the pot. Be sure and hold the bowl and pot together until they are firmly in place. • Let the hot glue dry well before proceeding. • Decorate your candy jar with stickers, pictures, or by painting a design. If you do use paint let it dry before proceeding. • Add a shine to your candy jar, paint the pot with a gloss finish. It may take the gloss up to a day to dry. Pour your favorite candy into the bowl and enjoy.
