Eliminating ice cream and milk reduces calories and allows the flavor of the fruit to dominate. This recipe makes one fruit smoothie. Step 1 Choose a fruit to use in addition to the banana. Consider strawberries or other berries, peaches, pineapple, or whatever is in season. You can also mix fruits or add more banana. Step 2 Peel, remove seeds, and slice fruit if necessary. Step 3 Place prepared fruit, banana, ice cubes and orange juice in blender. Step 4 Cover and blend at high speed until ingredients are combined, ice cubes are dissolved and smoothie is desired consistency. Step 5 Pour into tall glass and serve.
