How do you make a non erupting volcano showing the cross section of lava on it?

Volcanoes are made up of layer upon layer of cooled lava (and sometimes ash in between). Some volcanoes are flat and wide, some volcanoes are tall and steep, but they are all layers of cool rock. The only other feature is a magma tube rising into the central caldera. If there’s no caldera (if it hasn’t erupted for a very long time), there will still be a magma chamber inside the dormant (sleeping) volcano. Check out the first link below, it will show you what your picture should look like. Good luck!
