To give your home a natural look, try making your own clay paint in earthy shades reminiscent of Mexico or the south of France. You can apply this paint to plastered walls, drywall or other surfaces for a beautiful, textured appearance. And best of all, it’s totally non-toxic! Prepare the Starch Paste Add 1 quart white flour to 2 quarts cold water, and set aside. Cook the Paste Boil 1 1/2 quarts water. When boiling, add the mixture of flour and cold water. Turn heat to low, and continue to cook until the mixture thickens. Continually stir the bottom to prevent burning.
