How do you make a narrow hallway look wider?
in order to make the doors less chaotic you should paint them the same colour as the wall so they don’t stand out as much and sort of disappear, you could try adding a rug the length of the hall with horizontal stripes pulling the eye outwards and playing against the length. Another trick when you have an area that is long and narrow you paint the walls at the end a warm tone and it brings the room in making it appear shorter, you could also try bringing the colour of the ceiling down so it feels a little more boxy than long (but I would really have to see the space to suggest a colour for that). You could break the hall into two or three sections by using half columns or molding from floor to ceiling half way down the hall so that it is no longer one long space.
